Fearence brings a diverse portfolio of lived experience, cultural knowledge, and academic achievement to OneHoop. His background includes serving as a Research Assistant with the City of Regina’s Indigenous Relations department, where he supported the development of the City’s Indigenous Framework by integrating Indigenous worldviews into municipal policies and engaging communities through respectful dialogue and ceremony. He also contributed to Indigenous representation and cultural revitalization as President of the First Nations University of Canada Students’ Association, where he successfully helped relaunch the Tony Cote Welcome Back Powwow and led key student initiatives grounded in Indigenous values.
Fearence is a proud member of Piapot First Nation, located in Treaty 4 Territory. He is completing his Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Indigenous Business and Public Administration at the First Nations University of Canada. With a strong foundation in Indigenous ceremony and leadership, and a growing resume in community-focused economic development, Fearence is committed to advancing Indigenous self-determination through meaningful, community-led solutions that foster long-term reconciliation and prosperity for future generations.
