OneHoop is honoured to welcome Kyle J. Mason as the newest Consultant within our Consulting & Professional Services team. A nationally recognized nonprofit leader and Indigenous advocate, Kyle brings a career rooted in social impact, community empowerment, and transformative leadership.

Kyle brings a depth of experience in building and scaling nonprofit organizations, strategic planning, public engagement, and media relations. As the founder and former Executive Director of the North End Family Centre in Winnipeg, he mobilized millions in donations and developed a lasting infrastructure that has positively impacted thousands of families. His leadership across social services, Indigenous advocacy, and governance has garnered national recognition, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and CBC Manitoba Future 40 honour.

“OneHoop continues to grow with purpose and it’s critical that we have the right people helping us lead reconciliation through action,” said Brandon Ringham, Director of Consulting of OneHoop. “Kyle’s lived experience, visionary leadership, and decades of impact in community-building will play a crucial role in strengthening our Consulting & Professional Services pillar.”

In addition to his professional work, Kyle serves on numerous boards and councils, including the Canadian Mennonite University Governance and Indigenous Councils, St. Stephen's University Indigenous Advisory Council, and the Kapabamayak Achaak Healing Forest. He has previously held leadership roles with the Winnipeg Police Board, World Vision Canada, North End Renewal Corporation, and the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives.

At OneHoop, Kyle will collaborate across sectors to support organizations in developing Reconciliation Action Plans, Indigenous Participation Plans, and customized strategies that reflect the aspirations and rights of Indigenous communities.

“Joining OneHoop is both a professional milestone and a personal calling,” said Kyle Mason. “My life’s work has been rooted in community and in the pursuit of justice, dignity, and equity for Indigenous peoples. I look forward to working alongside OneHoop’s team and our partners to shape a future where Reconciliation is more than a promise—it is a shared practice.”

OneHoop’s Consulting & Professional Services team is built on the belief that reconciliation is a journey—one that requires more than good intentions. We help organizations bridge understanding and implementation through collaborative solutions rooted in Indigenous knowledge and professional excellence.
